Founder Story
Black X was founded in 2025 by Brian O'Neal after years of watching creators sign exploitative brand deals without benchmarks, standards, or leverage. The pattern was always the same — vague scope, unbounded usage rights, payment "net whenever," and negotiations conducted in Instagram DMs.
The thesis behind Black X is straightforward: the creator economy generates billions in brand partnerships every year, but the infrastructure layer — the part that makes deals professional, scalable, and trustworthy — was missing. Stripe built it for payments. Shopify built it for commerce. Black X is building it for creator-brand deals.
